Using the Same Email Address for Different Logins

Using the Same Email Address for Different Logins

If you receive the error message "The user already exists" while trying to add a user account, it means the email address is already associated with an existing account on the platform (e.g., another reseller, client, or external contact).

Solution:

To resolve this, you can use a plus sign (+) before the @ symbol in the email address. This allows you to create a unique login without changing the main email address.

Example:

If you're trying to add the email address:

  • john@eco-deliveries-for-you.com

You can modify it like this:

  • john+uktrack@eco-deliveries-for-you.com

Here’s how it works:

  • The user will log in using john+uktrack@eco-deliveries-for-you.com.
  • Any reports or communications will still be sent to the original email: john@eco-deliveries-for-you.com.

This method is helpful for:

  • Testing purposes: You can add labels to track different logins without creating multiple email accounts.

  • Resellers logging in as clients: If you, as a reseller, need to log in as a client, you can follow the same process. For example, if your reseller email is myname@mytrackingcompany.com, you can create a client login as myname+client1@mytrackingcompany.com.

  • When you log in as the client, any reports will be sent to your original email address, myname@mytrackingcompany.com.

This method ensures smooth management of multiple logins while maintaining a single inbox for all communication.
